Southwestern REACT of San Diego County Inc.
Southwestern REACT (Radio Emergency Associated Communications Team) of San Diego County, Inc. was founded in February of 1966 in Imperial Beach. The Team was incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 educational and charity organization by the State of California on April 30, 1969.
SWR's mission is to prepare for communications during emergencies and disasters. This preparation is accomplished though working community events such as: Parades, Bike rides, Horse Rides, Marathons, Traffic Control and other events for safety.
If you have an event that needs radio communications, you can complete a request form found under "Forms" on this website.
Team members are trained and have worked with San Diego County V.O.A.D. (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster,) with the San Diego/Imperial County American Red Cross; ACS (Auxiliary Communications Service) and ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service). Throughout our 50 years of service, we have developed considerable knowledge and experience.
Safety, through communications for events, is our top priority.
